Since 2004, the Evolution has given Webster & Bennett machines a new life. It is built on the wonderful, over-engineered basic structure of the W&B 36, 48 and 72 manual machines. The result is a new 12kW machine for turning, grinding and PCD drilling, with turning diameters up to 2100mm.
VTT-WB still supports, services and refurbishes Evolution machines today.
Built on a proven Webster & Bennett structure
The Webster & Bennett 36, 48 and 72 manual machines were built at a time when designers were not pressured on cost. Their castings and components were over-engineered and still have many years of work in them. The Evolution keeps that proven structure and turns it into a new CNC machine.
